Shenell’s Shining Stars

Free Homeschooling for children 2-4 years old every Tuesday & Friday from 4:30pm to 6:00pm in Grandview, Missouri.

Shenell is passionate about teaching young children how important self-love is. She focuses on teaching young children the importance of exploration and having new experiences through play. Children should be able to learn about things that they want to know and about the cultures of the world. Learning should integrate physical play and hands on activities.
Shenell has always had a passion to work with children. She just never knew exactly what it was she wanted to do until high school. Shenell took child care classes in high school and then went to get her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Over the years, Shenell volunteered and interned in multiple elementary schools. She worked at a childcare center for 4 years. During that time she taught two year olds and was an infant teacher. Shenell is currently a support teacher in an elementary school working with Kindergarten through 5th grade. Shenell’s ultimate goal is to start her own school.

“I want to teach children how to prepare for life, think for themselves, and be original. They deserve to learn about things they are curious about and then integrate that into their learning.” Shenell said.  “They deserve to have someone love and care about them and about their learning. I love to teach. I love to help. I love to change lives for the better. I see a great future ahead of the next generations and I want to be the one to start it.”
